RUGBY UNION: Rixon rides on

MOST rugby players like to relax during the sumer months, but not Oxfordshire and Chinnor flanker Ed Rixon.

The 28-year-old is teaming up with friends Tom Richardson, 27, and Phil Scott-Priestley, 28, to cycle from London to Mont Blanc for Cancer Research UK.

The trio, who set off on June 22, hope to raise more than £7,000 and will attempt to complete the 700-mile route in just eight days.

Rixon (pictured) said: "By cycling from our capital to Europe's highest point, we hope that this challenge will capture the attention of friends, family and sponsors and help us reach our fundraising target."
