Rugby: Chinnor sign another overseas player

Chinnor add South African Leon Jacobs to their squad for the visit of South West 1 leaders Cinderford to Kingsey Road tomorrow.

New signing Jacobs will make his debut at scrum half for Chinnor, increasing the ambitious club's overseas representation to four.

Also in the side to face Cinderford are Australian centre centre Cameron Shaw, plus Kiwis Sam Mc Ivor at full back and Zane Winslade in the back row.

The other change from last week's defeat at Clevedon sees Jo Winpenny force himself into the front row.

Cinderford's successful season has been built around their new signings.

Fly half and utility back Tupe Fanolua, brother of Gloucester centre Terry, has joined along with Samoan back row Ronnie Patea and former Harlequins hooker Nigel Matthews.

Following last week's victory over Gloucester Old Boys, Oxford Harlequins have one injury doubt before they entertain Clevedon.

Back row forward Rob Quarry suffered an ankle injury in that game and faces a fitness test.

Lock Ben Brusch returns to the squad after injury. In the last game of last season, Quins went down 26-19 at home to tomorrow's opponents.

Henley Hawks make one change to their line-up for their trip north to face Otley in National league 1.

Centre Ric Van Zyl, injured while scoring a try in last week's opening victory against Sedgley Park, has not recovered.

His place is taken by Billy O'Driscoll who will have his first start of the season.

On the bench Mike Tamati eases his way back after a week off through injury.

There are changes amongst the forward replacements with Joe Horn-Smith taking over from Andrew Grierson, and Dave Archer for Mark Venner.

Witney skipper Luke Hollick returns to the fray for the tough away fixture at Stow-on-the-Wold in Southern Counties North.
