It could be a dream day for Oxfordshire rugby on Saturday, May 24 with two of their sides playing at Twickenham.
Following their comprehensive 40-18 victory over Bucks at Chinnor on Saturday, Oxfordshire are just two wins away from reaching the final of the Tetley's Bitter County Shield.
Also in action at headquarters that day could be the Oxfordshire Under 20 side, who play their semi-final in the Tetley's Bitter Under 20 Championship against North Midlands at Dudley Kingswinford, Wall Heath tomorrow (2.30).
This is the furthest the county have ever progressed in this competition and is a tribute to the commitment of the players and their coaches, David Lakin, Jon Cant and David Fell.
Oxfordshire emerged from the league phase of the competition unbeaten, and in their quarter-final defeated the Army 26-20
Training resumed last Friday with the 20 members relishing the possibility of an appearance at Twickenham.
