Charlie's back for Chinnor

From the archive, first published Saturday 4th Oct 2003.

Chinnor are expecting flying winger Charlie Oyebade to make his seasonal debut when they entertain strong Bristol-based club Clevedon in South West 1 on Saturday.

Oyebade, who plays rugby league in London during the summer, will be welcomed back as Chinnor have severe problems behind the scrum.

Centre Tom Wood broke a metatarsal (a la Beckham) in his right foot, during the welcome 51-20 win at home to Barnstaple last week.

With both Jon Brooks and Johnny David still on the injury list and Alan Cawston absent on a course, Chinnor are stretching their resources to the limit.

Chinnor will also give a first start to Nick Tappin at full back.

With Tom Johnson now recovered from an attack of food poisoning, they will start with the same pack as last week.
