South West Division 1: Chinnor came away from Truro with little to show from a game they dominated for large periods but finished up losing 15-10.
The first half was a tough forward confrontation which Chinnor shaded, but their only score was a Connor Begley penalty, and they would later regret their inability to capitalise on their dominance.
Truro started well in the second half with a well-worked try exploiting the extra man, but Chinnor roared back with a fine try by debutant Johnny Davis, who had a fine game. Begley converted to make it 10-5.
Truro replied almost from the re-start to level the scores, and then a controversial refereeing decision, when Chinnor's scrum half was penalised for dummying at the base of the scrum, allowed the home side to sneak ahead from the resultant penalty.
Although Chinnor hammered away at the Truro line for the last five minutes, they could not find a way through.
